Maybe not — at least the "newsman" part — but this political satirist has developed a dedicated following for The Daily Show's lacerating and deeply researched takedowns of political and media foibles. No one can say something stupid in Washington, or on a TV-news stage, without Stewart and his writers taking notice and taking names.
